Booklyn

Terms of use

Last updated: 26 October 2026.

1. What Booklyn is

Booklyn is a free study helper made by students. It is an unofficial project and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, HSLU or any course. Using it means you accept these terms.

2. Use at your own risk

Booklyn is provided as it is. Practice questions, summaries and suggestions are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. They do not replace the official course material, and we do not promise any exam result. Always check deadlines and exam information with your school.

3. Your material

Only add material you are allowed to use. Course documents are usually protected by copyright. Booklyn keeps them on your device and does not share them. Do not use Booklyn to copy or pass on material to others.

4. ILIAS connector

The optional extension works with your own HSLU account. Use it only as your school allows, and stop using it if HSLU asks you to. We are not responsible for changes on ILIAS that stop it from working.

5. Sync codes and backups

A sync code is the only key to your synced progress. Keep it secret. If you lose it, it cannot be recovered. Booklyn stores your data in your browser, which can be cleared by you or your device, so please export a backup regularly.

6. Coins and decorations

Coins and decorations are part of the game. They have no real-world value, cannot be bought, sold or exchanged, and may be changed or reset if the game is rebalanced.

7. Fair use

Do not attack, overload or try to break the service, and do not create accounts automatically. Accounts or access that harm the service may be blocked.

8. Availability and changes

Booklyn may change, pause or end at any time. We will try to give notice in the app, and you can always export your progress.

9. Liability

As far as Swiss law allows, we are not liable for losses from using Booklyn, including lost data or missed deadlines. Liability for intent and gross negligence stays unaffected.

10. Law

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is [city, canton], unless mandatory law says otherwise.
